What It Is

Taste of Anaheim is the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce's annual outdoor food festival held downtown along the Center Street Promenade, with local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and food vendors serving complimentary sample-sized tastings. The 2026 edition runs Friday, August 7, 2026, 5pm to 9pm. It's a one-evening community block party, not a multi-week production. Don't confuse it with the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, which is a different event entirely.

Why Go

It's the most efficient way to hit a range of Anaheim's restaurant scene in one night. Established neighborhood names sit booth-to-booth with newer openings looking for visibility. The format works: you taste multiple places without committing to full meals or a steep dinner tab.

What To Know Before You Go

Date: Friday, August 7, 2026. Time: 5pm to 9pm. Location: Center Street Promenade, Downtown Anaheim. Tickets: This is a ticketed public event, and participating vendors provide complimentary sample-sized tastings once you're in. Confirm current ticket pricing and any tier details on the official Anaheim Chamber registration page before purchasing. The festival runs along Center Street with parking in surrounding lots; arriving on foot from east of Anaheim Boulevard avoids the festival-area shuffle. Bring cash for small vendors even though most take cards.

The Honest Take

Restaurant-booth food is inherently uneven. Some places shine at tasting-size portions, others fall flat. Arriving after 7pm helps with crowd management, but the most popular vendors (especially high-end proteins and specialty desserts) often sell out of their allotments by then. If there's a specific chef or dish you're targeting, show up earlier and prioritize that booth first. Worth showing up with a notebook if you're scanning the city's restaurant scene.
