Blk Dot's signature is the Iced VTM® — a slow-drip Vietnamese coffee concentrate finished with house condensed milk and their own creamer. It's the drink the founders built the shop around, and it's the reason Blk Dot has become a small OC micro-chain rather than just another Chapman-Ave coffee bar.
Founded by Mai and Stacie Tran, Blk Dot developed its Vietnamese-coffee program using an in-house phin-filter concentrate and their own house-roasted coffee. The Iced VTM® is trademarked — they don't publicly expand the initials, so don't guess — and the shop's identity is now built around it. The Chapman location sits a block off the Old Towne plaza square.
Clean lines, black-and-white palette, coffee-forward. It's a café that wants to be judged on the cup, not the aesthetics. Enough seating to sit for a while, brisk enough to grab-and-go, and consistently one of the busier windows in the historic district.
