What It Is
Surf City Spooktacular is HB Downtown's Halloween event on Main Street in Downtown Huntington Beach on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event is hosted by the Downtown Huntington Beach Business Improvement District.
Why Go
Downtown Huntington Beach on Halloween night is already a destination; the Spooktacular adds a programmed window on Main Street for the early evening before the usual bar-and-restaurant crowd arrives.
What To Know Before You Go
Location: Main Street, Downtown Huntington Beach. Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026. Hours: 4 to 7 p.m. (per hbdowntown.com/2026-spooktacular-vendor-application). Activities and admission: the official signature-events page gives no details beyond the date and venue; check hbdowntown.com for program updates and vendor confirmations closer to the event.
The Honest Take
HB Downtown's official page keeps the Spooktacular to a one-line listing, which means the real program comes together in the final week. Parking, trick-or-treat routes, costume-contest details, and any admission information need to be confirmed on the organizer's site. If you are driving in from outside HB, treat this as a street festival that pairs with dinner on Main Street rather than a programmed destination event.
