Holidays at the Disneyland Resort is the winter seasonal overlay running November 18 through January 2027 across both parks and Downtown Disney. The 2026 season includes A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Haunted Mansion Holiday, "it's a small world" Holiday, Believe... In Holiday Magic fireworks, Festival of Holidays at California Adventure, Disney Viva Navidad, holiday decor, Santa Claus appearances, and seasonal food across both parks.

Why Go

Disneyland at the holidays is one of the most complete theme park seasonal transformations in the world. Two headline attraction overlays plus a parade, a fireworks show, and cultural programming through Festival of Holidays and Disney Viva Navidad add up to a program that rewards multi-day visits. For guests who only visit the Resort once a year, this is the highest-density time to go.

What to Know Before You Go

Dates: November 18, 2026 through early January 2027. Confirm the closing date on the official Disneyland site. Included with park admission: The overlays, parade, fireworks, decor, and Festival of Holidays sampling booths (food and merchandise sold separately at booths). Peak dates: Thanksgiving weekend, the two weeks before Christmas, and New Year's Eve. Weekday visits in early December are the quietest. The Honest Take

The holiday season is Disneyland at its best and its most crowded. If flexibility exists, book a Sunday-through-Wednesday window in early to mid December to skip the holiday-week crush while still seeing every overlay and program. Book Festival of Holidays sampling with a plan; the sipping and snacking add up faster than you think. Bring a warm layer for evenings. Anaheim gets cold once the sun goes down in December.
