Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party
Disneyland Resort's separate-ticket Halloween party. Select nights Aug 18 through Oct 31, 2026 at Disney California Adventure.

What It Is
Oogie Boogie Bash is Disneyland Resort's separate-ticket Halloween party held select nights at Disney California Adventure Park. The event closes the park to regular guests and reopens it in Halloween mode with Madame Leota's Swinging Wake, a new Haunted Mansion Street Party debuting in 2026 that replaces the previous Frightfully Fun Parade, plus character trick-or-treat trails, exclusive shows including Villains Grove, specialty food, and party-only entertainment. The 2026 season runs 33 select nights from August 18 through October 31, with peak-demand dates typically selling out within hours of release.
Why Go
The party is Disney at its Halloween-specific best. Costume culture is the point. Trick-or-treat trails route through curated character stops with generous handouts, and the transformed park has entertainment you cannot get during a regular ticket day. The pacing of a limited-attendance evening also means shorter ride waits for headline attractions than a summer daytime visit.

The Honest Take
Prime dates sell out fast, especially the two weekends closest to Halloween. Book early if you want a specific evening. The party's atmosphere and content justify the separate ticket for costume-forward guests. For a casual Halloween visit without the ticket premium, Halloween Time at the Resort during standard park hours delivers most of the seasonal decor and food without the party-only shows.
