That's because Bodhi Leaf did all three. The West Katella location functions as a café, a roasting facility, and the company's green-coffee warehouse.
Founded in 2009 by Steve Sims, Bodhi Leaf grew from a small green-coffee import operation into a full vertical: sourcing, roasting, retail cafés across Orange County, wholesale to other roasters, home-roasting equipment, and cupping classes. Because they operate as importers, they supply green beans to a meaningful slice of the Southern California roasting community. The Katella site is the operational hub.
This isn't a laptop-and-latte scene. It reads more like a working coffee shop attached to a warehouse. Bag walls, roasting equipment in view, staff who can walk you through single-origin lots and pour-over methods. Approachable if you engage, still worthwhile if you don't.
